I’ve never seen someone use a towel before but I’ll accept it.
Really though, how hard is it to remove a couple screws and take off the plate?

When I lived in Maine after about 5 years, very hard.

Well first of all, crack pipe. And second, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to ever cover your license plate. Do you drive around with your license plates covered or park with your license plate covered? The people who do this are the same people who blindly follow whatever they see other people doing.

True.
I put Vaseline on the screws whenever I take them off and put them back in. It helps. Not sure if that would stand up to harsh weather though.

It has relatively low miles and a manual. But it’s still a base model.
I think it’s just more of a psychological effect when it comes to blurring the plate. Some may feel “safer” by doing it.

Are you looking to buy a Cube? I didn’t even know they came in manual o.o
I think these cars are pretty cute though, maybe in a brighter color that matches the quirkiness of the car. Like a lime green, or a baby blue would look right at home.

Nah. Just browsing to see if they made a manual version.
This is the closest to baby blue I could find.

Agreed. I sadly tried taking my NY plates off with just a pair of pliers since I didn’t have ratchet handy. Didn’t go well. Couldn’t budge one of the acorn nuts and rounded it off nicely in the process. Eventually gave up and ripped the old plate off (aluminum, so that wasn’t hard) and just have the new one sitting in front of the nut.
